The Sustainable Sport Governance Officer Curriculum is a digital document that outlines the necessary skills, competencies, and attitudes required for a professional to champion sustainability and good governance in sports organizations, serving as a reference for developing training programs by partners andexternal educational providers for sports organization members.

E-course on Sustainable Sport Governance

The e-course is an adaptable educational format thatcovers the skills needed to implement sustainability and good governance principles in sports organizations. It includes interactive modules with theoretical and specific knowledge on environmental, social, and economic sustainability, as well as positive and negative impacts on local communities. The course is available in all languages represented in the consortium and includesvideo, photo, and infographics.

Educational Programme on Sustainable Sport Governance

The Educational Programme is a six-day training programdesigned for sports organization members to acquire knowledge, skills, andcompetencies on sustainable sport governance through theoretical and practical sessions using NFE and ETS methodologies. The program will be stored on the same web platform as the e-course,serving as a practical reference for stakeholders interested in implementing a ready-made programon sustainability and good governance in sports, available in all partners’ national languages and digital format only.

Sustainable Sport Governance Chart

The Sustainable Sport Governance Chart, developedthrough a participatory process with grassroots and recognized sports organizations, will include 8 principles jointly developed by sport managers, coaches, athletes, and volunteers, serving as a self-regulatory instrument for signatory organizations and policy recommendations for policymakers. It will be available in a PDF document in English and all languages represented in the consortium, as well as a digital version on the GAIA network website, forming the basis of the network around which organizations will pledge to integrate sustainability and good governance in their code ofethics, practices, and structures.

Self-assessment questionnaire

The self-assessment questionnaire will evaluatethe levels ofcompliance of GAIA network members regarding sustainable sport governance, developed basedon the research findings, educational inputs from the e-course, and principles of the SGG Chart. Itcan also be used for peer-to-peer evaluation to ensure network sustainability and membershipmechanisms, available in English and all languages represented in the consortium, and accessibleon the GAIA Network Platform.
